Chris Crowder Gulf and Ash britt are doing a great Job cleaning the bay and its shorelines . GoRead More fishing .. As Far as Go fast go they have the same rights as a john boat with a 5 hp on it . And need to obey they same rules of the road and laws governed by the state inside navigational waters . These boats come a llong history of mans need for speed and our waters saw some of fist go fasts in the way of Jersey speed skiffs Moon shinning Garveys . Chris Craft and Garwoods some bulit right on these same rivers . Before they stated supercharging and blowing to modern day levels . As any group there is always the Sonny Crocket idoits that dont have any buissness being on the water despite what boat they drive . Problem is one these new rocketships Can be some what dangerous . I would support a Muffler law near inshore , Back bays and ICW . As far as them being banned well you ban one guess what the partys over for all and as far as a speed limit . there are plenty no wake zones that slow these down . But everyone this year should be aware peoples bulkheads and docks are in very bad shape and wakes make them worse ... So if you run a 30 ft plus boat and can run outside it maybe a nice year to do so heading to AC etc . Lets get the bays clened and the marinas back open before you all start this Ban certain kinds of boats . I would recommend and boat that can do mph and above needs a special drivers course . and safety course . Tag on there current boat license .

Ken.....You are so right on you assessment. I have seen the patch do the same thing. Take offRead More comments that really were not at all that bad and then keep others cursing out another post...very strange. I guess someone makes complaints, such as school officials, parents and coaches and off it goes. Does not matter if it is the truth or how a post see's it. I heard the same thing as CH. It came from a school official. They were allowed to play because they moved in to the town. If they enrolled as a tuition student like the girl on Saint Rose's team living in another town they would have had to wait. These two girls wanted to score all the points, they did not have to drive in with 3 people on them. They chose to play like that. Other girls on the team can shoot. They purposely would pretend like they didn't see them. Even though all the fans seen it. My 90 year old mother who is blind in one eye could see it and pass the ball better. They would pass late, or throw a horrible pass but had no problem passing to each other. All of a sudden they can pass very well. Josh& Sherlon was very bad reporting a the games as well as the point beach coach. It was all about two players, rarely gave credit to the other girls. One of the girls, don't know her name, was awesome at defense, if it wasn't for her they would have lost more of the games and never given credit. She had a great shot too. I was told after she got 5 3pts. in one of the games these two girls stop passing to her.
Karl March 18, 2013 at 12:13 pm
Ken, Needless to say, you are right about the sister too. Three of the starters on that team isRead More seniors I am sure they will not be missing the game of basketball under the beach coach. But I do feel for the remaining girls because they barley got to play and this coach will not try to teach them anything like he never did all the prior years. Don't worry I am sure they will be getting some new tuition kids or players to over step the remaining girls in experience girls. This coach has done a lot of girls dirty with his politics so it would not surprise me one bit. If you have a school that lets the coaches do what ever they want they have the power to overlook a girl that has been waiting and promised. I am sure these girls will try to recruit new girls to the Beach. The girls that actually live there never get the right opportunity between his dirty politics and bringing in tuition kids.
Karl March 18, 2013 at 09:30 pm
I left out the point here. They should just let him play one more year. They let a lot of otherRead More things go...Just give him one more year. It would be no different then all these parents who keep their kid back a year to have the athletic advantage. I am sure if these parents knew this trick they might have done that too.

Another promise broken, just like no increase in property taxes! I clearly remember Governor GirthRead More promising that with an infusion of taxpayer money, the Xanadu project would be a profit making attraction by the time NJ hosted the 2014 Super Bowl. Lied to again!

Art Elmers February 4, 2013 at 02:12 pm
I think NJ has missed a tremendous opportunity in not having the Xanadu open for the Super Bowl.Read More When the announcement was made that NJ would host the 2014 Super Bowl I thought there was no way the project would not be open in time. How could the developers pass up the free publicity and exposure the Super Bowl would bring? How could the Giants and Jets not like being portrayed as having their home stadium located in one of the premier sports, shopping, and entertainment locations in the country? I admit I was wrong. I assumed that the overwhelming good for NJ coming from this would trump any personal agendas and everyone would make sure this project could be completed. A pox on all our houses. I do not want to point blame at any one person, company, organization, or union. Whoever did whatever they could to slow down this project knows who they are and has succeeded in making this project an embarrassment to us all. Congratulations, I hope your ego is now satisfied. Now when in February of 2014 we watch the Super Bowl with the Network cameras located at all the action in Manhattan and the occasional shot of the empty hulk next to Stadium, we can think of what could have been.
