Cedar Glen Volunteer Hospitalized Following Fall from Ladder

74-year-old was trimming a tree and lost footing, police said

A 74-year-old Cedar Glen Homes maintenance volunteer was airlifted to a regional trauma center after taking a 15-foot fall from a ladder Thursday morning.  James Dixon of Holly Street was on a ladder attempting to cut a tree limb on Willow Street — on Cedar Glen property — when he "lost his footing and fell" at about 9:15 a.m., said Manchester Police Lt. Vincent Manco.  Along with patrol officers, paramedics from Quality Medical Transport and MONOC responded to the scene to treat Dixon. "Medical personnel on scene made the decision to have Mr. Dixon transported to a trauma center via medivac helicopter," Manco said.  Dixon was airlifted from the Manchester Middle School athletic fields and taken to the trauma center at Jersey Shore …
