MTHS Senior Signs to Lock Haven University

Scott Davern signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania on a cross country/track scholarship

Scott Davern, a senior at Manchester Township High School, signed a National  Letter of Intent on National Signing Day (Feb. 6, 2013) to attend Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania on a cross country/track scholarship.  Scott is a 4-year, 3-season athlete for cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field.  Athletic Director, Keith Lister, said, "Scott will have earned 12 varsity letters over the course of his 4 years here, a rare and special accomplishment." On hand for the signing were Scott's coaches, Jason Griffith (Cross Country and Spring Track & Field), John Musolf (Indoor Track), his mom Cynthia and brother John, Principal Alex George, Lister, and Guidance Counselor Shannon Findlow. Hawks Bowlers Look to Continue Successes Heading Into Season

Boys and girls coaches hope to for another successful season

After last year's successes, the Hawks boys and girls bowling teams are looking to continue that momentum when their season kicks off on Friday. "The Lady Hawks are looking strong," said coach Mike McCrae. "Senior captains Julie Taylor and Olivia Osterberg have the team ready to go." Boys coach Bryan Vargas also expects another strong showing from his squad.  "We are very excited about this season and all the accomplishments we can achieve," he said.  Last season, the girls team won the Shore Conference A South, were the NJSIAA South Jersey Group II sectional champions for the fifth consecutive year and were the overall Group II state champions for the third consecutive year.
