Meeting will be open to the public
Lacey school board members will have more to say about the indictment of schools Superintendent Sandra Brower at a special meeting on Friday night, Board President Eric J. Schubiger said this afternoon. The meeting will get underway at 8 p.m. in the lecture hall at Lacey Township High School, he said. "It will be open to the public," Schubiger said. Several board members earlier this week declined to comment on the matter and referred all press inquiries to Schubiger. "We want time to review the indictment and have a chance to meet as a board," Schubiger said yesterday. "I'm sure we will have many comments after that." Lacey Township's schools superintendent was indicted Monday morning on charges she failed to immediately report a teacher's possible sexual assault of a 4-year-old special needs student while she was Wall Township's assistant superintendent, according to an indictment. Sandra Brower, 46, then lied to police and tried to cover up her inaction, according to the Monmouth County indictment. Brower, a Wall resident, is charged with second-degree official misconduct, third-degree hindering apprehension and fourth-degree obstruction, according to the indictment. Brower was the assistant superintendent of Wall Township schools until November 2011. She is currently the superintendent of Lacey Township Schools in Ocean County. The Lacey school board…

The Lacey Township Board of Education is planning to hold a special meeting soon to deal with the ramifications of schools Superintendent Sandra Brower's indictment in Monmouth County. "We need to address this as quickly as possible," Board President Eric J. Schubiger said this afternoon. Schubiger said he had obtained a copy of the indictment from Board Attorney Arthur Stein today and reviewed the document. Is the snow season really the happiest season of all? "Sara C." said she didn't get a Brick plow until 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. The snow fell on Sunday. Her husband missed three days of work because he was too busy clearing it all out. "What do we pay taxes for?" she wrote. "No one cares about the people who live behind the 7-Eleven off of Chambersbridge Road in Brick." "Kelly," another Brick resident, said she had to walk through four feet of snow drifts to be picked up for work on Midstreams Road. This is already happened long ago! Their isn't that many American doctors left...they can't even get into Medical School. They have a quota, more foreigner get in from different parts of the country and maybe a few Americans a year. Same thing goes for all the colleges the foreigners get a free education at Ivy league colleges. Americans that have just as good records get pushed to the side.   more ›
