One-Car Accident on Route 539 Sends Driver to Hospital

Motorist sustains minor injuries in Saturday afternoon crash

According to Manchester Township Police, the driver involved in a one-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon on Route 539 suffered only minor injuries. "On December 22, 2012, at 3:54 p.m., Manchester Township Police received a call of a single-vehicle crash on Route 539, in the area of mile post 26," said Lt. Vincent Manco. When Manchester patrol officers arrived, they found that a 1991 Toyota Corolla which had been operated by Amanda Waller, 21, of Forked River, had left the roadway and collided with a utility pole. As a result of the crash, Waller sustained minor injuries and was transported by first aid to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment. Late Night Accident Sends One to Hospital

Parkway crash results in one motorist being sent to Neptune hospital

A car accident involving two motorists late last night on the Garden State Parkway has sent one of them to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, according to authorities. At approximately 12:30 a.m., a black BMW being driven by Geraldine Hennicke was involved in a collision with a bronze Chevrolet being driven by Omar Randolph, on the southbound side of the Garden State Parkway at mile marker 91.5, said Sgt. Brian Polite, a public information officer for the New Jersey State Police. “At that time, the vehicle being driven by Ms. Hennicke went to the left shoulder of the road, and no injuries were sustained by her, or her two passengers, Bridget Hennicke and Miranda Malaguias,” Polite explained. Two Teens Injured in Car Crash Outside Brielle Police Department

A pair of Ocean County teens found themselves in Jersey Shore University Medical Center Saturday night, recovering from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident outside the Brielle Police Department earlier that evening. Sgt. Mike Mechler of the Brielle Police characterized the accident as a one-vehicle collision, which took place just before 6 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle was traveling westbound on Union Lane when the crash occurred, according to the sergeant. The car’s driver was 19 year-old Tyler Kowalski of Manchester, accompanied by a passenger, Travis Lelievre, also 19, of Toms River. Driver that struck motorcyclist charged with DWI

Toms River Township Polive Officer Steven Schwartz was conducting an investigation into a suspected driving under the influence driver on Route 37 westbound, just east of Vaughn Avenue on Saturday evening, when he witnessed a pickup truck strike a motorcycle and three other cars just after 10 p.m. Investigation found that Carl Heer, 51, was operating a 1995 Ford westbound when he struck a 1980 Yamaha motorcycle pushing it 300 feet before smashing into two other cars stopped at the traffic signal.  Heer was charged with DWI The operator of the motor cycle, Nicholas Gerofsky, 19, of Browns Mills and his passenger Brooke Hiis, 24, of Bayville were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Trauma Center, Neptune, by the Silverton …

Whiting Man In Critical Condition Following Accident on Pinewald-Keswick Road

Accident happened shortly before 1:30 p.m., police say

  A Manchester Township man was critically injured this afternoon when his car struck another car near the Whiting Auto Center on Pinewald-Keswick Road, then veered off into the woods and struck a number of trees, Sgt. Ryan Roth said. Thomas Kelly, 81, Cooper Lane, Whiting, had to be extricated from his car. He was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with "life-threatening" injuries, police said. Kelly was traveling eastbound on Route 530 when his car struck a 2002 Honda Accord driven by Daniel Favano, Toms River, hit a clothing drop-off bin, then veered off into the woods and slammed into numerous trees, police said.
