Parents Get Tips to Help Children Prepare for Testing

To help parents support their children throughout the testing period coming up in May, both Ridgeway and Manchester Elementary Schools held a NJ ASK Open House for Parents.

May is state testing time for third, fourth and fifth graders – a time that can be stressful for students and parents alike. To help parents support their children throughout the testing period, both Ridgeway and Manchester Township Elementary Schools recently held an NJ ASK Open House for Parents. At Ridgeway, their NJ ASK team, consisting of Literacy Coach Michelle Nichol and teachers Jill Moore, Elaine Pate, Geri DiMarco, and Geri Szoke, presented the program to parents who attended several different sessions throughout the day. The presenters described the testing process in detail and gave parents sample tests. They talked about the importance of reading all the questions carefully, referring back to the text for answers, showing work…

Elementary Parent Meeting Focuses on Student Achievement

Elementary parents invited to workshop on Wed. Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. at Ridgeway School.

Parents of students who attend Ridgeway Elementary School, Manchester Twp. Elementary School and Whiting Elementary School are invited to a special Parent Advisory Committee Meeting (PAC) meeting on Wednesday, January 30 at 7 p.m. in the Ridgeway School Media Center.  The topic for the evening is "Defining and Addressing Student Achievement." Workshop presenters are Vice Principal Nikki Mazur and Literacy Coaches Barbara Bastian and Michelle Nichol.  Pre-registration is requested by Jan. 25.  Call Mrs. Conti at 732-323-9600 or email Mrs. Mazur at nmazur@manchestertwp.org.
