Manchester Woman Suffers Face Injuries in Early Morning Single-Car Crash

Township woman crashed into a tree in Pine Lake Park early Friday morning

A Manchester woman suffered serious injuries to her face when the sport utility vehicle she was driving crashed into a tree in the township's Pine Lake Park section early Friday morning. Katherine Lewis, 31, was travelling northbound on Northampton Boulevard when the 2003 Saturn Vue she was driving left the roadway, cut across the lawn of 400 Northampton Blvd. and ultimately struck a pine tree at about 5:37 a.m., said Manchester Police Capt. Lisa Parker in a statement.  "Ms. Lewis was found unconscious and regained consciousness upon the arrival of responding officers," Parker said. I hope that she will be okay. Ironic how they are this week ensuring drivers wear their seat belts and no cell phone usage while driving, and she wasn't wearing her belt. She got lucky this time, but next time......maybe not so much. People need to be careful and safe on the roads this weekend...   more ›

Police: Man Injured After Car Crashes Into Home

Crash happened on Saturday in the township's Pine Lake Park section

A township man was hospitalized over the weekend after his pickup truck crashed into a home in Manchester's Pine Lake Park section. A 2005 Dodge Dakota truck driven by Jonothel C. Robinson, 31, crashed into the home at 600 Beacon Avenue at about 2:25 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, according to a news release issued by Capt. Lisa Parker. Robinson suffered lacerations and a possible head injury, police said, and was transported to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune in stable condition. Police did not report that anyone at the home was injured.
