One-Car Accident on Route 539 Sends Driver to Hospital

Motorist sustains minor injuries in Saturday afternoon crash

According to Manchester Township Police, the driver involved in a one-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon on Route 539 suffered only minor injuries. "On December 22, 2012, at 3:54 p.m., Manchester Township Police received a call of a single-vehicle crash on Route 539, in the area of mile post 26," said Lt. Vincent Manco. When Manchester patrol officers arrived, they found that a 1991 Toyota Corolla which had been operated by Amanda Waller, 21, of Forked River, had left the roadway and collided with a utility pole. As a result of the crash, Waller sustained minor injuries and was transported by first aid to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment.
