Lakewood police arrested the suspect driver who hit and critically injured a Chaveirim member and then fled the scene, according to the Chaveirim of Lakewood.
The Lakewood Police Department arrested the suspected driver who hit and critically injured a Chaveirim member, Moshe Guttmann, and then fled the scene, according to a statement released by the Chaveirim of Lakewood. A family member of the victim who did not give up searching for the vehicle spotted the possible match to the Chevy Astro van parked in the rear of an East 5th Street home, according to the statement. The family member questioned someone outside the residence regarding the damage to the vehicle, and was told it was involved in an accident last week. A child was seriously injured Saturday evening after being bitten by a dog, as first reported on News Alerts, according to The Lakewood Scoop. Two young children reportedly were pinned under a car in a Sunday accident
It may have been the quick thinking of an unknown person who rescued two young children pinned under the car in a Lakewood accident on Sunday, according to The Lakewood Scoop. The Lakewood Scoop has pictures of the man and is asking if anybody knows him. The two young children were reportedly unconscious when they were pulled from under the vehicle. The man immediately got out of his car, popped the trunk of the vehicle which was on top of the children, removed the car’s jack, and began jacking up the car, according to The Lakewood Scoop. The accident reportedly happened at 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Route 9 and Cushman Street, according to The Asbury Park Press. Victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said
One person was hospitalized after a shooting reportedly took place at the Best Western on Route 70 in Lakewood, according to Lakewood police. The victim, whom police declined to identify, suffered "non-life-threatening injuries," according to police. The victim was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Lakewood police said they had no further information on the incident or the suspect.
