Bio: Gregory Kyriakakis is a journalist from Ocean County, New Jersey. He completed his Master's in Print Journalism, with an emphasis in online multimedia journalism, at the University of Miami in 2008. He earned a living as a freelance journalist in South Florida after graduation, working as a freelance community reporter for The Miami Herald.

Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. How would you describe your political beliefs?

For social issues, I usually find myself falling in line with more liberal beliefs. Fiscally, I am more moderate.

Are you registered with a certain party? 

I am not registered with a particular party, though I tend to find myself in agreement with the Democratic Party.

Religion
How religious would you consider yourself? (casual, observant, devout, non religious)

I do not practice a religion, though I respect all religious beliefs and the value that it can provide.

Local Hot-Button Issues
What do you think are the most important issues facing the community?

The Jersey Shore has much rebuilding to do following Hurricane Sandy. The implications are great not just locally, but for the entire state.

Where do you stand on each of these issues?

Times are tough for everyone right now, so I hope the township can find a way to preserve jobs. I believe in working together, toward a common goal that benefits as many people as possible.
