Locals Have A 'Night Out' In Lakehurst

Yearly event was organized in Lakehurst by borough police

An estimated crowd of 1,000 locals came to the Lakehurst baseball field Tuesday night for the 30th annual National Night Out.

The yearly event encourages the community to interact with and get to know their local law enforcement. Among those attending were emergency responders from Lakehurst Manchester and the Joint Base. Local civic organizations were also on hand.

Visitors were treated to free food, prizes including HDTVs and video game systems, and had the opportunity to take part in a dunk tank and bounce house.

The event, which is hosted by law enforcement throughout the country, was organized locally by the Lakehurst Police Department.
